A Native Texan

Born and raised in San Antonio, Jacob Scholl moved to Houston when he was fifteen. After attending the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Jacob earned his Bachelor's in Economics from MSU Denver, graduating magna cum laude. From there, he enrolled in the University of Denver Sturm College of Law to pursue his passion for the law and his dream of becoming an attorney. He earned the highest grade in the entire class in the following subjects: Securities Practicum, Business Organizations, and American History of Law. The University of Denver was ranked #6 in the country for its trial practice program, and Jacob actively competed in every mock trial tournament available. His professors at the Law School Clinic, ranked #7 in the country, awarded him the position of appellate student-counsel, a first in the law school's 130 year history.

During law school, Jacob also excelled in extracurricular activities outside the classroom. He became a licensed and certified mediator and volunteered his time off campus, helping settle disputes. From his first summer to the end of his law school career, Jacob held four judicial clerkships at the Denver District Court and Colorado Court of Appeals. Lastly, being proud of his Asperger's diagnosis, Jacob published continuing legal education materials for lawyers and lectured on working with clients and counsel on the autism spectrum.

Jacob continues his volunteer service today. In 2022 to 2023, he served on the Texas Bar Leadership Committee and lectured to teenagers at over a dozen high schools about their civil rights in police interaction. Jacob was asked to return to South Early College High School to help coach the debate team, where the students went on to win the regional tournament. In 2023-2024, he serves on the Disability Rights and Issues Committee for the Texas Bar. He also enjoys judging advocacy competitors at South Texas College of Law.

Jacob is licensed as an attorney and counselor at law and has been admitted to practice in State Courts by the Supreme Court of Texas, the Federal Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and South Carolina Bankruptcy Court. He is passionate about the law and about serving something greater than himself. To symbolize this dedication to justice and service to his community, he wears steel earrings. (Exodus 21:6).

In his free time, Jacob enjoys bodybuilding and powerlifting, axe throwing, and watching Court TV. Jacob is also a member of Mensa International.

He dreams of one day being interviewed by Joe Rogan.
